Immersive Discoveries is led by Gemma Zeeman, a digital innovator who brings together senior corporate experience, educational expertise and a genuine passion for making learning meaningful.
Gemma spent 15 years at Confused.com managing large-scale digital programmes, cross-functional teams and multi-million-pound budgets. That corporate foundation means she understands how organisations actually work: the competing priorities, the time pressures, and what it takes to deliver something people will genuinely use.
She retrained as a primary teacher and holds Qualified Teacher Status following a PGCE with The Open University. Her classroom experience spans Reception to Year 6, giving her a first-hand understanding of how digital tools can meaningfully support teaching and learning.
Gemma's recent work has included a Research Assistant role on the Welsh Government–funded Wales Curriculum Learning Design (WCLD) project, working alongside teacher educators at every initial teacher education institution in Wales to embed immersive technology and AI into teacher training.
Separately, and through Immersive Discoveries itself, Gemma developed a bilingual national digital resource for Adnodd: five 360° immersive "worldview" environments now live for schools across Wales via Hwb. That commission is also what led to Immersive Discoveries becoming an approved Adnodd preferred supplier, across both the Digital Content Provider and Project Management categories.
As a certified ThingLink Trainer, Gemma designs and builds immersive 360° environments and interactive digital resources for schools, heritage organisations and cultural bodies. She's also a certified drone operator, flying the Antigravity A1 8K 360° — the first camera of its kind in the UK — to capture aerial heritage content in full 8K resolution.
She also delivers practical, jargon-free AI workshops for educators and organisational teams — sessions that leave people with tools they can use the same day.
Bringing together educational rigour, technical fluency and a passion for storytelling, Gemma leads Immersive Discoveries with a clear purpose: to help organisations harness immersive technology in ways that are inspiring, accessible and genuinely transformative.
